Dublin U9/10/11 Team Championships (AKA Childrens Games)

The Dublin Children’s Games are a key juvenile athletics competition in Dublin, organised by Dublin Athletics. They’re designed specifically for younger athletes (U9, U10, and U11) as an introduction to structured competition.

The competition focuses on:

  • Building confidence in young athletes

  • Teaching basic athletic skills (running, jumping, throwing)

  • Encouraging participation in a fun, supportive environment

    𝗕𝗶𝗯 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀

    Bib numbers will be collected by coaches (Niamh and Ciara) and handed out to athletes when they arrive.

    𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻

    Please note, there is very little parking at Irishtown Stadium and roads nearby. On-street parking can be found a little further away in the wider area past the park on Cambridge Road, South Lotts Road, Bath Avenue, etc. Please allow for a 15/20-minute walk.

    There is some paid parking available 15 minutes’ walk away at Shelbourne Greyhound Stadium on South Lotts Road (overflow access at signs for Sportsco).

    For Public transport, the stadium is served by the following bus routes – C1, C2, 47, S2, and 82, all within 3 minutes walking distance. Also, the C3, C4, C5 and C6 have termini 15-minute walk away, as is the Dart station on Lansdowne Road.

    If using street parking, please consider the residents and do not obstruct their entrances, and refrain from parking in the housing estate between the Stadium and Sean Moore Road so as not to infringe on residents.

    We would like to discourage people from parking (other than core staff) or approaching the stadium due to narrow roads.
